Formed as a partnership between Lesley Goldsmith and Philip English, who merged their existing companies, Lesley Goldsmith Bookkeepers and Orchard Bookkeeping Services, into bookkeepers.ie in 2005. Although bookkeepers.ie has only been formalised recently, the track records of the principal partners are long and extensive, giving it the ability to more than match the established players in this business sector.
At bookkeepers.ie, we place the emphasis on providing a service to the client that far exceeds their expectations.
To that end, we spend time "getting to know" the client to understand what makes their business unique so that we can
deliver a truly personal service to each one.
We believe that bookkeeping is more than just keeping the figures straight and we work closely with clients to ensure
that their business runs as smoothly as possible.
Lesley Goldsmith
Lesley started working as a bookkeeper in the mid 1970's for The Crown Foundary, Northampton. In 1985 she started her own business and successfully traded in her own right until 1994, when she sold the business prior to the birth of her second son. Lesley returned to work as Office Manager for Cory Environmental Services Ltd. in 1996, a position she held until she moved to Newbridge in 1999. On moving to Ireland, Lesley joined TNS Ltd. as the Accounts Administrator, a post she held until leaving in early 2003 to start Lesley Goldsmith Bookkeepers. Her reputation for accuracy and efficiency has grown quickly, bringing many new clients to her company.
Philip English MIATI
Philip has been working as a bookkeper and accounting technician for many years.
In 2001, he received a diploma in bookkeeping from Kilroys College and gained his IATI certification in
early 2003, whilst working for ScaffHire Ltd in Dublin. He has been
running his own successful bookkeeping business, Orchard Bookkeeping Services for the last two and a half years,
specialising in the entertainment industry and licenced trade.
He is currently studying for his CPA at Griffiths College, Dublin.
